Learn More About How We Work In Schools
The Site Coordinator ensures that all the needs of children are met so that when students are in the classroom, they are ready to learn—and teachers can focus on teaching. Integrated student supports promote the students academic success by developing, securing and coordinating services that target academic and non academic barriers to student achievement.
Communities In Schools positions a dedicated staff member—a school‑based site coordinator—inside partner schools. The site coordinator works with school staff to identify students at risk of dropping out, address the individual needs of each student and remove the barriers preventing student success. By leveraging relationships with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and parent and volunteer organizations, needed resources are delivered to students in a cost‑effective manner. Whether it’s counseling, tutoring, eyeglasses, food or a safe place to be after school, when these needs are met, students can concentrate on learning.
Communities In Schools of Central Ohio is skilled in and proud to serve the communities most vulnerable students.
