Communities In Schools has the expertise, the desire and the passion to dramatically impact the academic success of the children of our community. But without the financial support and resources of our corporate partners, we are like firefighters without water.
Our generous corporate partners enable CIS to provide services to more than 10,000 students each year. As our funding base grows, Communities In Schools will expand its service offerings and have a presence in more schools.
Alliances formed with community partners is Communities In Schools' secret weapon. By forming strong relationships with service organizations such as the Mentoring Center of Central Ohio and the United Way of Central Ohio, CIS can provide students access to a wide range of services.
We cannot overlook the importance of family partners in the success of our students. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and older siblings often provide the necessary love and encouragement for troubled youth. Without the interest and involvement of family members, many of our young people would slip through the cracks.
