Stable Families Program
Families must be referred by the YWCA Family Center.

The Stable Families Program is a non-profit project of Communities In Schools of Central Ohio. The goal of the program is to decrease family homelessness in Franklin County. We are a short-term program assisting families with housing related issues. Participants in our program commit to case management and are typically provided with financial assistance to maintain their housing. Project Eligibility Criteria:
- Families must permanently reside in Franklin County.
- Families must contain at least one child in their legal custody, living in the home, under the age of 18
- Families must demonstrate they are at imminent risk of homelessness and may be asked to provide one of the following documentations:
- Letter of eviction
- Disconnect notice for utilities in their name
- Letter from head of household stating they are in an overcrowded situation, doubled up with another family in the same home
- Families must be at or below 35% AMI; but no zero income.
Project Screening/Enrollment Processes: Families will be screened within 2 days of receiving the referral from the YWCA Family Center. Once screened and accepted into the program, all families will complete a thorough assessment and case plan. All of the families involved in the Stable Families Program will be assisted in the process of accessing community resources, budgeting, and crisis planning. Families can receive services for up to 2 months with 12 months of follow up help. There is no charge for the services provided.
